Social Psychology

In the field of Social Psychology, the Department of Psychology at Seoul National University studies the emotions, thoughts, and behaviors of individuals within a social context. Using experiments and surveys, we try to find factors that contribute to happiness and mental health resilience. We also explore the cultural differences in cognition and emotion.
Active research topics include, but are not limited to: cultural differences in happiness, happiness by age and personality, exercise and mental health, and mental health during COVID-19.
